Yakushima is an island bout 25km in diameter off the SE coast of Kyushu, 60km south of Kyushu Island and the major port of Kagoshima. It lies at the northern end of the island chain of Ryukyu. Sandakan is the second largest city in Sabah, East Malaysia, on the NE coast of Borneo. Pare Pare is a port town located on the SW coast of Sulawesi, about 155 km north of the provincial capital Makassar.
